NHL roundup: Zibanejad scores hat trick, Wild rally past Sabres for OT win
Mika Zibanejad (21) scored his 10th career hat trick as the Rangers scored six straight goals to improve to 21-22-6.
Both Zibanejad and Artemi Panarin finished with three points each after the latter scored two goals of his own along with an assist.
Zibanejad now has five goals in the past five games and is now riding an eight-game point streak with 17 total during that span. Panarin is on a nine-game point streak of his own with 16 total.
The Flyers have now dropped five in a row as they fell to 22-17-8.
[h2]Wild 5-4 Sabres[/h2]Buffalo fell 3-1 early on after Vladimir Tarasenko (9) scored for the Wild just a minute into the second period. But the team would rally back, scoring three straight goals to take a 4-3 lead, courtesy of Peyton Krebs (4), Jack Quinn (11), and Alex Tuch (17).
Minnesota's recently acquired star defenceman Quinn Hughes (4) would tie the game up with three minutes left in regulation to send it to overtime, where teammate Mats Zuccarello (6) would cap off the comeback win with a snap shot to help the Wild improve to 27-13-9.
Kirill Kaprizov (MIN) led all players with three points in the game after racking up three assists, bringing his season total to 30, needing just two more to surpass his 31 from last season.
Tuch scored his third goal in the last four games for Buffalo as they fell to 26-16-5, while Tage Thompson extended his point streak to eight games, tallying 13 total during that span.
