GK: Kayne van Oevelen (FC Volendam) - 8.6
Not often does a goalkeeper get a rating this high after losing 2-0, but without Kayne van Oevelen, FC Volendam would've lost by a much larger margin. Van Oevelen came up huge with 11 saves against Ajax, who amassed a total xG of 3.24 from 31(!) shots.
DEF: Anton Gaaei (Ajax) - 8.1
Danish right-back Anton Gaaei is reportedly allowed to leave Ajax, but is showing signs of potential every now and then. Against Volendam, Gaaei was his usual attacking self, profiting from Rayane Bounida creating space in front of him.
Gaaei created two big chances against Volendam, won three duels and recorded six touches in Volendam's box, tying for the third-most in the game.
DEF: Casper Widell (Excelsior) - 7.8
Excelsior kept just their fourth clean sheet of the season, and Casper Widell played a big part in that. The Swedish centre-half was dominant in his duels, winning 7 of 9 in total, while also recording 7 clearances in their 0-0 draw against FC Twente.
DEF: Youri Baas (Ajax) - 8.8
Youri Baas started next to 18-year-old Aaron Bouwman and proved he has become a leader of this team, even at such a young age. The 22-year-old former left-back scored both of Ajax's goals, but played an all-around great game with a 95.3 per cent passing accuracy (81/85), four won aerial duels, and two interceptions in Ajax's fourth clean sheet of the season.
DEF: Dies Janse (FC Groningen) - 8.2
Ajax loanee Dies Janse opened the scoring for FC Groningen in their 2-1 home loss to Fortuna Sittard, but was also a defensive pillar for the Pride of the North - one won tackle, two interceptions, six clearances, and seven won duels, five of which came from headers.
DEF: Justin Hubner (Fortuna Sittard) - 8.1
Indonesia international Justin Hubner was decisive in his side's 2-1 win over FC Groningen, providing the assist to Kaj Sierhuis' 1-1 and recording a staggering 15 clearances, while also winning all four of his aerial duels.
MID: Joey Veerman (PSV) - 9.0
Not a week goes by without Joey Veerman claiming a spot in our Team of the Week. It's truly unbelievable.
PSV may not have won, but it was another vintage Joey Veerman performance on Saturday. 126 touches, 81 completed passes, 33 of which came in the final third, 23 final-third entries, five created chances, and last but not least, two assists. Veerman is the engine of this rampant PSV team.
MID: Tjaronn Chery (NEC) - 8.2
Tjaronn Chery helped extend their unbeaten streak to ten games across all competitions with a goal and an assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over PEC Zwolle. His goal contributions were the absolute highlight of his performance, which included two created chances, three goal attempts, and four completed crosses.
MID: Hwang In-Beom (Feyenoord) - 8.3
South Korean midfielder Hwang In-Beom missed decent chunks of time with injuries, but has been somewhat of a steady factor in recent weeks and reminded Feyenoord fans on Sunday why they loved him so much after arriving from Red Star Belgrade.
Hwang assisted two goals in Feyenoord's 4-2 win over Heracles Almelo - their first Eredivisie win of 2026 - and created three total chances to get Robin van Persie's side back on track.
FW: Rayane Bounida (Ajax) - 8.8
19-year-old Rayane Bounida went viral with his skills in a previous life, but is now developing into the next big Ajax star. Against Volendam, Bounida assisted both of Youri Baas' goals, which were just two of the four chances the young Belgian created.
Additionally, Bounida recorded four completed dribbles, seven won duels, two shots on target, and a 90 per cent pass completion rate in the final third (19/21).
FW: Anis Hadj Moussa (Feyenoord) - 9.0 (Player of the Week)
In terms of performances, Anis Hadj Moussa is a player with a relatively low floor and ridiculously high ceiling. Against Heracles, the Algerian maverick showed some of that ceiling play - six completed dribbles, two created chances, and 14 touches in the opposition's box all confirm that.
The highlights of his performance were his goal contributions, however. Leo Sauer scored Feyenoord's opener from Hadj Moussa's cross, while the Algerian winger relieved De Kuip with a show-stopping goal to make it 3-1, floating the ball beautifully into the top corner. A performance worthy of our Player of the Week award.
